GWO Working at Height and Manual Handling

Overview

Your Workforce will gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the key health and safety aspect to be aware of when working at heights & manual handling.

Delegates must be aged 18+ with a good level of English. To achieve this certificate, a practical and written multiple choice assessment will be completed as part of the GWO Fire Awareness course.

A medical assessment form to screen any medical issues will be completed by all delegates prior to starting the course.

This GWO course will provide them with an awareness through theoretical and practical training. It is a requirement that offshore workers hold a valid, in date Working at Height & Rescue certificate. This certificate can be refreshed every 2 years by completing the Working at Height Refresher course.

What will be covered during the course?

This GWO Working at Heights & Manual Handling training course covers the techniques and procedures which may need to be carried out in emergency situations when working at height when either alone or working as part of a team.

The training deals with all aspects involved when working at height on wind farm projects, and will teach you the importance of the following procedure and regulations whilst working in the hazardous environments.

Training will take place at our fully equipped centre with real-world training environments designed to make sure you are comfortable carrying out emergency procedures whilst working from height.

Participants will need to bring:

Work boots.

Photographic ID e.g Driving Licence or Passport.

WINDA ID.

Duration: 2 days

Due a refresher? No problem! A refresher is to be completed every two years for a delegates certification to remain valid. Delegates can choose to complete one of the four refresher modules, or if they require all four modules, these are included within the GWO Basic Safety Training Package refresher.
