Overview

Your workforce will gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the key health and safety aspect to manual handling.

Delegates must be aged 18+ with a good level of English. To achieve this certificate, a practical and written multiple choice assessment will be completed as part of the GWO Fire Awareness course.

A medical assessment form to screen any medical issues will be completed by all delegates prior to starting the course.

Will this course benefit your colleagues?

Yes! If your workforce are looking to start or develop a career in the renewable and wind energy industry and gain a Global Wind Organization accreditation, then look no further! This GWO course will provide them with an awareness through theoretical and practical training. It is a requirement that offshore workers hold a valid, in date manual handling certificate. This certificate can be refreshed every 2 years by completing the manual handling Refresher course.

What will be covered during the course?

This GWO Manual Handling module covers rescue techniques and procedures which need to be carried out in emergency situations which may involve lifting objects or personnel when either alone or working as part of a team. The training deals with manual handling situations in various environments and ensures delegates are taught the importance of following procedures and regulations whilst working in these hazardous environments within the renewable energy and wind industry.

Training will take place at our fully equipped centre with real-world training environments designed to make sure you are comfortable carrying out the correct procedures.

Participants will need to bring:

Work boots.

Photographic ID e.g Driving License or Passport.

The journey doesn’t end there…

After completing this course, delegates can continue to complete the rest of their GWO Basic Safety Training:
