GWO Fire Awareness

Overview

The course covers techniques and procedures which may need to be carried out in emergency situations which involve dealing with fires.

Delegates must be aged 18+ with a good level of English. To achieve this certificate, a practical and written multiple choice assessment will be completed as part of the GWO Fire Awareness course.

A medical assessment form to screen any medical issues will be completed by all delegates prior to starting the course.

This GWO course will provide them with an awareness through theoretical and practical training. Everyone is expected to hold a valid, in date GWO Fire Awareness certificate which must be refreshed every 2 years.

What will be covered during the course?

During the training delegates will deal with fire situations in various environments and discover the importance of following procedure and regulations whilst working in these hazardous environments within the renewable energy industry.

Training will take at our fully equipped centre with real-world training environments designed to make sure participants are aware of emergency procedures if confronted with situations involving fire.

Participants will need to bring:

Work boots.

Photographic ID.

Duration: 0.5 day

Due a refresher? No problem! A refresher is to be completed every two years for an individual’s certification to remain valid. Individuals can choose to complete one of the four refresher modules, or if they require all four modules, these are included within the GWO Basic Safety Training Package refresher.
